Growing up in Uckfield and attending the community college I was very aware there wasn’t much to do in town for young people, the youth club was an exception and a great time to hang out with friends and class mates.
When the original Youth Club closed down it was a massive loss to the community. As I grew up I became involved in local businesses and town issues, so a few years ago when a team came together to discuss the rising Anti social behaviour and youth issues I could think of no better way than to bring the youth club back and provide an outlet for young people once again.

I attended the uckfield youth club in my teenage years and gained experience working there when I was older. So I know how important and valuable having a safe space to hang out with your friends can be at that age.
Having been involved in this project for many years- and running successfully before the pandemic, I would love for the youth club to be back as part of the youth community in Uckfield.

Having grown up and raised my own children in Uckfield I know how much a youth club can benefit the young people. I was a keen member of Uckfield youth club when I was younger and I know my children would have loved one had it been running when they were younger.
I’ve been involved in the re opening of this version of the youth club since the beginning and saw what a success it was when we first opened and am looking forward to it re opening after closure during covid.

I’ve been an active member of the community and want to promote young people and give them the opportunities I had and so much more. I’ve been involved in resetting up the youth club for 6 years and look forward to giving back to the community that gave me so much growing up.
